Floyd McCubbins was ordained a Deacon in the Diocese of Helena on June 29, 2012.
He was born in Washington, and moved with his family to Montana in 1959. Floyd attended school in College Place, WA, Missoula and Kalispell. Floyd and his wife Connie both graduated from Flathead High School; Floyd in 1968, and Connie in 1972.
Connie and Floyd were married in St. Matthews Church in Kalispell in October, 1972. They have been married for 43+ years. They have 2 sons: Patrick and Bryan, both are married to their childhood sweethearts: Amy (Brunett), Nicole (Naylor).
Floyd and Connie have 5 beautiful Grandchildren: Cameron, Skyler, Austyn, Christian, and Aysha (Asia). Their grandchildren are the 7th Generation from Flathead Valley on Connie’s Hundahl/Pratt side. They have 4 Foster Children: Robin, Chuck, Shawn, and Shannon.
Deacon Floyd is a Convert to the Catholic Faith. In 1986, he and his youngest son Bryan had their First Communion the same day with Father Bud Sullivan at St. Richard’s Parish in Columbia Falls.
Deacon Floyd’s ministries include Prison Ministry, Marriage Counseling, Men’s Bible Study, and Ministry to those who have left the Church, especially in their final days. He firmly believes that everybody who has been baptized in the faith has a right to a Christian Burial.
